Our week at Garret on the Green
We’ve just returned from our second trip to Garret on the Green, a creative retreat and residency space in Upstate New York. Run by two writers and musicians, the Garret is filled with inspirational books and items to get your creative juices flowing (and to help you avoid cliche phrases like “creative juices;” be better than me, y’all).
What we love about Garret on the Green is its location. Clinton, NY is a quaint little town right out of a CW show. It’s gorgeous and has what you need, but only exactly what you need. It’s VERY small, so there are no distractions when you’re trying to work—just lovely views and great coffee.
Garret on the Green also partners with the local Kirkland Art Center to provide a residency for emerging artists. Are you a writer, musician, or visual artist who does not yet make a full-time paycheck through your art? Then considering applying!
