Sorry for the lack of Sirens this week. It’s New York Comic Con! No, we weren’t actually AT the con. But we’ve still been very busy. Want to see what we’ve been up to?
Khary was interviewed by the local news about an exhibit he’s part of at the Society of Illustrators: From Brotherman to Batman.
While we were there, we got to spend some quality time with the ultra-talented Alitha Martinez and her super cute dog, Thea. (And of course I LOVE that this perfect puppy shares a name with the protagonist of A Way From Here. - J)
If you’ve never been to the Society of Illustrators, it’s a fantastic place to see mind-blowing art. And they have a full service bar with drinks inspired by your favorite artists.
Later that evening, we met up with the fine folks of DC comics for…well…whatever this is.
We followed up our evening of shenanigans with a quiet brunch with the Kuberts.
And, because we decided this was going to be the chillest con in the history of cons, we took our pal and trading card artist extraordinaire Eugene Commodore for afternoon tea.
We’ll be back with more Sirens of the City next week!
