We had a different post planned for today, but then my body said, “Oopsie, you’re going to the hospital.” So after a very long and painful night, we headed to the emergency room at 5:30 a.m. And then we stayed there for another 16 hours. Ya know, typical emergency room stuff. Eventually they admitted me, and all the amazing doctors and nurses worked round the clock to get me back on my feet. But Khary worked too…not only to support me but to make sure I wouldn’t have to stress about Sirens. Wherever they moved me in the hospital, he found a surface for his Surface Pro and got to drawing.
If this isn’t an advertisement for the Surface Pro, I don’t know what is. SPONSOR US! WE’RE SHAMELESS!
Anyway, we’ll be back to your regularly scheduled comics on Friday.
I'm sorry for everything you've been going through! I hope they have figured out what kind of colitis you have and how to treat/manage it--I know it is very painful and difficult. I'm glad Khary has been there to support you and I'm sure he's been working his ass off. Love to you guys <3
So sorry to hear of your pain and emergency room wait. ER trips are never fun or easy. I hope you get the best care and they can help you resolve what is wrong. Hang in there. It’s good Khary could be there with you (our child was admitted to the hospital a back in December and because of their pandemic protocols, only one person was allowed to see them. It all turned out okay but it’s hard to not be with your loved ones when they are suffering). Health and well-being are the priority so focus on that, Joanne. You already know that but I thought I would write it anyways. Everything else can wait.
