Over Thanksgiving, we had a chance to head to Boston to spend time with Khary’s family for the first time in forever (F you, Covid!) Now, Khary’s parents still live in his childhood home, which means when we stay there, we stay in his childhood bedroom (and sleep in his teeny tiny childhood bed, but that’s another story). I have a somewhat messed up family situation, so I have no house or bedroom to go back to. I don’t have my things from when I was a kid. So you can imagine, it’s very exciting for me to look through all of lil Khary’s things: his comics, his photos, all of it. Like, seriously, the door to his bedroom is still covered in stickers. It's adorable.
But the best thing I found? His old drawings. Just sketchbooks full of ‘em. There was even a folder of stuff his mom saved that had the very first comic he ever drew when he was in SIXTH GRADE. And yes, we’re going to put that up at some point for our paid subscribers.
Here’s a little peek of some of the gems I found.
And this one…this one he did in art school…it’s titled “The Ex-Girlfriend.”
After looking through these, Khary decided he wants to do redraws of a few of them. So that will be an upcoming feature for paid subscribers. If you want in on that action, just click below!
You can look forward to more old sketches and unseen content from the vault, including some of Khary’s original characters. And many, many more gravity-defying boobs. Teenagers.
Yes. Cant wait to see those redraws
"Oh no, my boyfriend went full Liefeld." Hahahahahaha!
